In order to bring equity to the schooling of the world's children, teachers will need to write grants proposals requesting funding. Some school districts are able to hire grant writers. In reality, most funded proposals start in the trenches. Teachers know what is needed for optimum learning to take place in their classrooms.
Below are some resources to help you in this process:
| WWW Resources on Grant Writing | http://www.ashland.edu/~bweiss/grants.html |
| Educator's Guide on Beginning Grant Writing | http://www.lib.ouhk.edu.hk/online/english/all/res5581.htm |
| ASCD Grant Writing Tips | http://www.ascd.org/services/grantinfo/tips.html |
Grants can take a large part in the solutions for the problems we solve. Look in your email for a Request for Proposal (RFP). Everyone must respond, through email, with a "proposal" that is two pages or less. This assignment is worth 50 points. The winning proposal gets an extra ten points.
