I have a Bachelors in Elementary Education (Foreign Language in the Elementary School, Music, and Aerospace Studies) from Brigham Young University (1973). After four years in the Air Force as an Administrative Management Officer, I tuned pianos full time for five years, and in 1982 completed a Masters in Music Education from Eastern Washington University. I taught 6th grade at Dzilth-na-o-dith-hle Community School, where I started using the Apple IIc for everything. At the University of New Mexico I completed a Masters in Multicultural Education and a Ph.D. in Navajo Bilingual Education, both with minors in Music. I taught bilingual education courses at Texas Tech University for five years, and have been a professor of bilingual education/ESL since 1992 at Western New Mexico University. I have taught distance education courses with various technologies since 1986. I use computers as a way of life for multitrack music recording; book, newsletter, and web publishing; e-commerce; information to improve my small flock poultry operation, and many other purposes. I have been at the Gallup Graduate Studies Center full time since 1997, but started teaching courses here in 1995.
