Problem Selection

One task which we have this session is to select a problem that you will solve for your Final Project. You are to work on this in groups. Remember that a group is comprised of at least two individuals.

We need to stay with those "essential" questions. Dr. Jamie McKenzie says these are the questions like "why is there war?" These questions don't have easy solutions and may take a lifetime of searching for a true solution. We are attempting to make use of our knowledge base and the technology skills available to us in our "solutions."

We may form a group of the whole if that is what the class decides. Any time you have questions concerning the process, visit the web sites that are noted in the explanation of Problem Solving.

At this time, think about problems that your have at school, either the university or public school, or in life that could be "solved" by a group from this class. Email the group with your ideas. We will then begin the task of narrowing down the number of problems in order to choose the ones we will "solve."
