a. NABE SIGs advise the NABE Executive Board and membershipon
issues pertaining to the special interests of their respectiveconstituencies
in order to ensure that NABE is responsive to allits members.
All members of the SIG must be current regular NABEmembers in
good standing.
b. Officers
are the Chairperson and Vice Chairperson.
are elected by a plurality of votes at the SIG business meetingheld
at the annual conference.
the Vice Chairperson will assume the position of Chairperson forthe
following year.
c. The names, addresses and phone numbers of the newly electedChairperson
and Vice Chairperson must be submitted to the NABEOffice Manager
before the close of the Annual Conference.
d. To be considered active, a SIG must file a report of annualactivities
with the NABE office by May 31 of each year. If a SIGfails to
file a report for two consecutive years, the NABE ExecutiveBoard
may take action to dissolve the SIG.
e. Responsibilities
to advise the Executive Board on issues relating to the area ofinterest
of the SIG
to submit on article per year to the NABE News
to prepare and submit an annual report for the post-conferenceissue
of NABE News
to hold a SIG business meeting during the Annual Conference
to coordinate on SIG Academic Session at the Annual Conference
to submit minutes of the Business Meeting to the NABE Office within15
days of the close of the annual conference
to assist the Annual Conference Committee with the review of papersto
be presented at the Annual Conference
to submit an annual report on SIG activities by May 31 of eachyear
to send copies of all SIG correspondence to the NABE Office
to establish yearly goals and activities
f. NABE is to be responsive to the issues and interests raisedby
the SIG, provide 2 sets of labels of SIG members, scheduleSIG
presentations and business meetings during the annual conference.
