Curriculum Plan:

Cookout of Cultures and Costume Extravaganza

The objective:  To use technology (internet, online encyclopedia etc.) and find a cultural recipe or traditional costume of the student’s choice.  The student will then be given the task of making the dish or costume.  During the Cookout and Costume day, the student will explain to the class the reason they choose such item and explain how and what tradition it is part of.  The more information the student gives, the better the grade!

Each student will bring in a traditional dish of his or her choice.  The student will be expected to tell the class where they found the recipe, the culture, and the reason they chose such dish.
